Richmond
The inaugural Castle series featured the first generation models of Richmond, Kendal, Conway and Howard.
River Series
By 1981, Clyde, Dover and Tyne were added to the portfolio as part of 'River' series.
This series focuses on delivering quality audio performance, characterised by unique design elements and engineering.
Pembroke
In 1982 Pembroke was released; a classic design speaker that was developed from the basis of the orginal Kendal model.
Pembroke refers to a model of floorstanding speakers known for their full sound profile.
Lincoln & Warwick
Lincoln and Warwick followed through the 80s before the Castle Winchester model, in 1990.
Winchester
Winchester was developed by Colin Walker and was the first model to use the quarter-wave tapered-pipe loudspeaker design.
Chester
Chester and Trent are added to the portfolio of loudspeakers, in 1991. With Chester being a more affordable junior to the flagship, Winchester.
York
1992 sees the York model announced, shortly before a management 'buy in' securing the future of the company in 1993.
The York speakers are noted for their pleasant sound quality, coherence, and solid design, making them well-regarded among audio enthusiasts.
Howard
Subsequently, in 1994, a new Flagship iteration of the Howard model and a new Durham models were developed.
The Howard S3 is the largest loudspeaker in Castle's Classic Series. It is a floorstanding model with a 2.5-way configuration, featuring three drivers, which includes two mid/bass drivers designed to deliver high-quality sound.
Severn
In 1995, Castle Severn hit the shelves with advanced cabinet technology and an innovative double bracing design.
Inversion 15 & 100
With continued innovation, the Castle Inversion is announced. Setting the tone for an expansion into the developing AV market.
The Castle Inversion 15 and Inversion 100, known for their quality sound performance and robust construction.
Conway 3
The Castle Conway 3 is the largest and most advanced floor-standing reflex ported speaker produced by Castle Acoustics in recent years.
Conway 3 is made available and to much press acclaim! Scoring some of the highest profile reviews and awards in the brand's rich history, including Hi-Fi Choice - Best Buy of the Year!
Knight Series
Castle Knight Series is a five-strong loudspeaker range delivering real-wood veneers with unique cabinet technology for radiant performance.
Richmond Anniversary
Ever since Castle was founded, the Richmond has been the smallest speaker in the Classic range which has defined the Castle sound and build quality. Over the years much has changed in the way we live our lives and the music we listen to, but one factor has remained constant – the quality of the Richmond. As far back as the eighties, its reputation for quality at an affordable price was recognized by the press with Hi Fi Choice giving the then current Richmond a ‘Best Buy’ rating in 1981, an accolade repeated once more for the 3i in 2004. Today we proudly present Richmond’s latest incarnation, the Richmond Anniversary.
Avon Series
With breakthrough Twin Drive Transmission Line technology, combined with real wood veneers, hand crafted and polished to perfection – Castle Avon is a delight to both eyes and ears.
Richmond IV
Richmond IV is the next generation stand-mount speaker, a classic ‘miniature’ which sounds much bigger than its diminutive size would indicate. Based on over 35 years of loudspeaker design experience, Richmond IV forms the basis of a new prestige range of Castle products from 2018.
Windsor
From 2020, Castle partnered with the world-famous Fink Team with long-time Castle fan, Karl-Heinz Fink taking lead in the development of a seminal series for Castle. After 2 years of development, evolution and perfection, Castle Windsor represents a labour of love for the brand and Fink, himself.
